Perun rocket prelaunch procedures tested at the Training Centre in Ustka
After reconnaissance at the Air Force Training Centre in Ustka last December, the time has come to practice prelaunch procedures of the Perun rocket. Last week, SpaceForest’s launch crew went to test the preparation of the launch pad, operation of the launcher, communication with the RASEL ground station and refuelling of the rocket. All the mentioned tests were successful.
The first test flight to a sub-nominal altitude is planned this spring. Its purpose will be to test the proper operation of all systems of the vehicle and check safety procedures, with an attempt to pick up the rocket from the waters of the Training Centre.
We are awaiting the necessary permits and working out the final details. Keep your fingers crossed for us.
