ESA Final Presentation Days 2020 Overview

On January 22, 2020, during the Final Presentation Days at ESA, we presented the results of the project: “Highly integrated solid-state power amplifier (SSPA) operating in X-band”. This important event gathers companies and research institutions from across Europe to showcase the progress of ESA-funded research and development projects.

Results of the X-Band SSPA Project

The project was successfully completed at TRL5. The X-band SSPA device was designed to meet strict requirements for space applications, including long-term operation in low Earth orbit. Our team demonstrated an engineering model tested in laboratory conditions.

Launch of the New X-Band SSPA EQM Project

Simultaneously, we started a new project titled “Development of highly integrated low-cost X-band SSPA EQM”. The kick-off meeting took place at SpaceForest’s headquarters in Gdynia. The main goal is to increase the technological readiness level to TRL7. This means demonstrating a system prototype in a space environment.

SpaceForest’s Role in European Space Industry

This project highlights SpaceForest’s expertise in RF circuit designpower amplifier development, and microwave engineering. It strengthens our position as a key player in European satellite communication technology.
