SpaceForest’s Perun rocket meets European space needs

SpaceForest’s radar and microwave technologies have found application in a project of strategic importance for defense.

Integrated SAR Radar – From Concept to Launch

At the end of October, SpaceForest’s suborbital Perun Rocket, developed by the company specializing in microwave and radar technologies, is scheduled for launch into space. With support from the European Space Agency (ESA), SpaceForest enhanced the rocket’s combustion chamber and conducted test flights from both Poland and other European spaceports.

Perun is designed to carry payloads of up to 50 kg to altitudes of 150 km, while a future upgraded version could reach 300 km, potentially covering up to 70% of Europe’s suborbital flight demand. SpaceForest is also advancing radar and satellite technologies in collaboration with WB Group and South Korea’s Hanwha Aerospace, including a SAR Radar used in unmanned military systems.
